Free Tax Preparation – Contact the Delaware Help Line at 1-800-464-4357  from January 18th to April 15th for assistance with tax preparation.

Teen Safety on the Internet - Gives teens some rules for online safety - to learn more about this go to http://www.missingkids.com. 

Internet Safety Information – To obtain information about on-line safety issues such as:  on-line predators, cyber bullying, identify theft, piracy in cyberspace, dangers of giving out personal information, and the latest issues on downloading music and movies, visit www.isafe.org.

Victims Rights Compensation Fund – To obtain restitution for battered mailboxes, destroyed by snow plows, call Department of Transportation after filing a police report.

Alcoholics Anonymous - Northern Delaware AA Hotline can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (302) 655-5113.  Northern Delaware Intergroup meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 501 Duncan Road, Wilmington DE.lcome.

Gambling Problem? - If you or someone you love has a gambling problem, and need "A Second Chance," call 1-888-850-8888.  Anytime, anywhere. 

Emergency Assistance Services - eligible clients may receive emergency assistance for home repairs, mortgage/rent, moving expenses, appliances, fuel/utilities, transportation, or food.  Please call the Hudson State Service Center at (302) 283-7500 option 6, ext. 6.

Delaware Smoking Cessation Quitline - Free services for those 18 years and older.  Please call 1-866-409-1858 

Delaware Judiciary – Self-Help Center – The Self-Help Center is where you will find resources to help you through the judicial system.  Open Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at the New Castle County Courthouse, 2nd Floor.  500 N. SCAT – Senior Citizens Affordable Taxi – For reduced fare tickets, call 658-4340. 

DARTCards - For information on outlets call 1-800-652-DART or visit www.dartfirststate.com.  Individuals can also buy DART Cards by phone or mail.  To place orders by phone or to request a mail order form, call 1-800-652-DART between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. 

Signal Out? Potholes? – Call DelDot at 302-323-1111 to report a pothole, dead animals, or traffic signal problem.

Social Service Information/Assistance - Children 

Division of Child Mental Health Services - provides voluntary mental health and substance abuse treatment services to children through age 17 who have no insurance or are on Medicaid.  For information and referral for children, call the Terry Center at 577-4270. 

Social Service Information/Assistance - Elderly 

Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities - provides comprehensive information for older persons, adults with physical disabilities, caregivers, and service professionals - call 800-223-9074 or go to www.dhss.delaware.gov/dhss/dsaapd/index.html.

Nursing Home Abuse or Fraud - If you know or suspect abuse, neglect, mistreatment or cases involving financial fraud against a resident of a long term care facility, please call the Division of Long Term Care Resident's Protection hotline at 1-877-453-0012. 

CAREDelaware - Respite Service - Offers the principal caregiver a short-term break from the demands of ongoing care.  In New Castle County call Generations Home Care, Inc. at (302) 658-6731. 

AccessCare, Dependent Care Referral Service – For referrals for child or elder care services, contact 302-479-1660 (NCC), or 800-660-6602 (Outside NCC).  Also visit them as www.familyandworkplace.org. 

Money Management Program - This program, supported by AARP, uses volunteers to assist older persons, or persons with disabilities, in organizing expenses and paying bills.
