Dear
Friend,
Thank you
so very much for your trust in and support of my fourteen years
of public service as your State Representative in the Delaware
General Assembly. Getting to know so many of you personally is
a highlight of my life. I am truly blessed!
In July, I
announced that I am not seeking re-election in 2008 due to my
husband Dave accepting a professional opportunity in Colorado.
Our sons, Cameron and Addison are currently college students there.
By the end of the year, I will be joining my family in the Rocky
Mountains.
What a pleasure
it has been to work with you, your civic associations and community
leaders! Together we’ve improved drainage of yards, paved
roads, increased open space such as the Judge Morris property,
established the Polly Drummond yard waste site, a new Kirkwood
Highway library, and walk/bikeways along New Linden Hill Road.
Highlights of being your advocate in the state legislature include
the Graduated Drivers License program, the Safe Arms for Babies
Act, Truancy Courts, the Office of the Child Advocate, the Identity
Theft/Security Freeze program, and the recent Silver Alert for
seniors, persons with disabilities and mental health needs.
Before I leave
office, there is one last task that is very important to me. I
want you to know of my wholehearted endorsement of the Republican
candidate for the now open House of Representatives 21st district
seat. Michael Ramone will carry on my record of putting you and
your concerns as his first priority. He is very accessible. Please
call him on his cell at 584-8601 to discuss issues of importance
to you or to volunteer.
Michael Ramone
is a committed leader, successful small business owner and role
model for many young people. This fall Michael, Lisa and I will
be knocking on your door, listening to your ideas, sharing his
platform, and seeking your support of Michael Ramone as your State
Representative. Visit his table at Pike Creek Community Day, Sat.
Sept 6, Carousel Park 10 to 3pm or Sun, Sept 14, 10-5 at Newark
Community Day.
On Labor Day,
Monday, September 1st let me personally say “Thank You!”
by stopping by the Drummond Hill Pool, off Polly Drummond Road
on Alton Road, between 6 to 8 pm. Michael and Lisa Ramone join
me in offering you food, drink and conversation!
RSVP to strepmaier@verizon.net, or 737-7223 with your name and
the number of attendees by Monday, August 25th. I sure hope to
see you there!
